Beginning Friday evening, January 10 crews will have a total closure of the southbound mainlanes of IH 45 North Freeway at IH 10 near downtown Houston to make scheduled repairs to the Hogan Street Bridge.
Crews will replace multiple bridge beams over the course of the next two weekends. The first closure will begin Friday, January 10 from 9 p.m. to Monday, January 13 at 5 a.m. and crews will complete any remaining work the following weekend.
During the closure motorists traveling southbound on IH 45 will be detoured to IH 10 Katy Freeway westbound and then take the Taylor Street exit, take a right on Taylor and then a right on the IH 10 Katy eastbound frontage road to get onto the mainlanes of IH 10 Katy eastbound to re-enter IH 45 North Freeway southbound.
Police officers will be stationed at the Taylor intersection directing traffic but motorists should expect delays and may want to consider an alternate route.
