One man is in custody and Montgomery County deputies are searching for two more, following a violent attack and robbery of another man Dec. 28.
Just after midnight a 911 call was placed from a Shell gas station near Decker Hills Drive and Brownsville Road, regarding an assault and robbery. When deputies arrived a man reported that three men pulled him from his truck, assaulted him with a screwdriver and stole the truck.
"Based on the descriptions given by the complainant, deputies determined the suspects were the same suspects from an earlier disturbance call in the area," a Montgomery County Sheriff's Office press release stated.
Patrol units swarmed the area and one deputy was able to locate the stolen truck being driven on a nearby road. The deputy pulled the vehicle over and found one occupant, Luis Corona, 18, inside.
Corona was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on $100,000 bond. He is also being held on a no bond warrant from federal immigration officials.
The victim, who deputies did not name, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for injuries he received in the assault.
Detectives continue to search for the other two men
