Harris County hosts one-day job fair

Harris County Pct. Commissioner Jerry Eversole announced last week a County Job Fair scheduled for July 15 to be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center, 8233 Will Clayton Parkway in Humble.

Pct. 4 is co-hosting the job fair with Harris County’s Human Resources and Risk Management office. Numerous Harris County departments will accept applications and resumes for clerical, technical and professional positions. Several Harris County departments are seeking bilingual applicants, however, all applicants must be able to read, write and speak English.

Harris County offers a benefits package, and enrollment in the Texas County and District Retirement System (TCDRS) is a mandatory requirement of all employees. Other benefits offered include access to a full-service credit union as well as a variety of training programs available to help employees improve their interpersonal skills, enhance career development and manage the stress of work and personal life. Harris County also offers employees a choice of three optional deferred compensation “457” savings/investment plans in which employees may participate on a voluntary basis.

Harris County is an equal opportunity employer and complies with ADA regulations. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, all applicants are screened for the presence of illegal drugs.

Anyone seeking a career opportunity with Harris County is encouraged to attend this one-day job fair. For more information, contact Harris County Human Resources and Risk Management at 713-755-5250.
